How to read this
The Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse requires land to be kept at Grade B or better. Once it falls below, it must be restored to Grade A within half a day in a high intensity zone, one day in a medium intensity zone, fourteen days in a low intensity zone, or twenty-eight days in special circumstances.
An entry marked Breach was reported to the council and stayed uncleaned for longer than the deadline for its zone. An entry marked Unreported has no report reference attached, so we make no claim about the council’s response at all — a dirty street nobody reported is evidence of a dirty street, not of a failure to act.
Grades are assessed by residents in good faith against the published Code, not by a qualified inspector. Where the date is marked VERIFIED, it was read from the photograph’s own metadata rather than typed in by hand. If you think an entry is wrong, tell us and we will correct it — including publishing the correction.
